At Amana, the parcel service of Barid Al-Maghrib (Morocco's post), a parcel's price depends on its weight and on the arrival city alone, not on where it leaves from. For 5 kg, its simulator showed on 26 October 2026 41 DH to Rabat or Kenitra, 58 or 59 DH to most cities, and 71 DH to Agadir, Oujda, Nador, Ouarzazate, Laâyoune and Dakhla, taxes included. That day we read all 324 routes between 18 cities, at eight weights each: here is the full table, what cash on delivery adds, the delivery times, and when Amana is the right choice against CTM and Cash Plus.

01Amana's price by weight and arrival city
On 26 October 2026, we asked Amana's simulator the price of every route between 18 cities, at 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 kg: 2,592 prices including taxes, for a small box delivered to the address. The arrival cities fall into four groups, and each group has its own price, whatever the departure city:

What the table doesn't say: a 3 kg parcel costs the same as a 2 or 5 kg one, and a 30 kg parcel the same as a 20 kg one. For the weights we didn't read, 6 to 9 kg for example, check the price on the simulator before you send.

02Why doesn't the departure city count?
Amana's simulator sets the price by the city the parcel arrives in, route after route. Sending 1 kg from Casablanca to Rabat costs 36 DH; from Rabat to Casablanca, 55 DH. And a parcel that stays within Casablanca costs 55 DH, more than one travelling to Rabat:

In practice: within the same city, Amana is the cheapest in none of the 18 cities. Tawssil (Cash Plus) shows 20 to 28 DH up to 5 kg within a city, while Amana starts at 36 DH.
03Drop-off, delivery and cash on delivery

On 21 October 2026, the simulator showed the same price at the agency or at home, on the Casablanca → Marrakech route. If you send with cash on delivery:
Price with cash on delivery = the price for the weight and arrival city + 12 DH
So a 5 kg parcel from Casablanca to Marrakech costs 59 + 12 = 71 DH, and to Rabat 41 + 12 = 53 DH.

05The Amana PDF price list: why not trust it?
When you search for "Amana tariff", a PDF price list from Barid Al-Maghrib, still online on the post's website, shows among the first results. It dates from 2019 and starts at 46 DH. The simulator, on 26 October 2026, started at 36 DH for 1 kg to Rabat or Kenitra, and asked 55 DH for 1 kg within Casablanca.
Seven years separate them: trust Amana's simulator, or the table above that was read on it, and be wary of undated copies going around.
06Amana, CTM or Cash Plus: which is cheaper?
From Casablanca to Marrakech, on 26 October 2026, taxes included:

- Under 2 kgCTM's calculator gives no price below 2 kg. That leaves Amana (36 to 66 DH for 1 kg depending on the arrival city) and Tawssil (45 to 60 DH to another city).
- 1 to 5 kgTawssil is cheaper than Amana on 270 routes out of 324. Amana comes out ahead only to Rabat and Kenitra, at 36 to 41 DH, except within those two cities.
- 10 to 15 kgthe gap is narrow, so compare your route on the comparison.
- 20 kgTawssil is cheaper than Amana on every route, and cheaper than CTM except on 7 routes leaving Laâyoune and Dakhla. Between Amana and CTM, CTM at the agency was cheaper on 171 routes out of 252. CTM route by route: our CTM prices per kilo.
- Over 20 kgTawssil's grid stops at 20 kg. Amana takes up to 31 kg, and it was cheaper than CTM on 185 routes out of 252 at 30 kg.

With Delivery Center: a courier who comes to your door
On Delivery Center, you don't drop your parcel at an agency: you post it (the city and neighbourhood of pickup and drop-off, the size, 1.5 kg minimum, and if needed the cash to collect), and independent couriers and delivery companies offer you their price and vehicle. You pick an offer, or none. The courier collects the parcel from your door, and the cash collected comes back to you hand to hand. There's no rate card and no commission.

How is Amana's price calculated?
By the parcel's weight and the arrival city, not the departure city. On 26 October 2026, Amana's simulator showed the same price for every parcel going to the same city, whatever its departure city, on the 324 routes we read between 18 cities. Cash on delivery adds 12 DH.
What is Amana's maximum weight?
31 kg. According to its simulator on 26 October 2026, a 30 kg parcel costs the same as a 20 kg one: 96 to 131 DH depending on the arrival city.
Amana or CTM: which is cheaper?
It depends on the weight. On the 252 routes where both gave a price on 26 October 2026, Amana was cheaper than CTM Messagerie (agency pickup) on most routes up to 15 kg (203 routes at 5 kg, for example), and at 30 kg too (185 routes). At 20 kg it's the other way round: CTM was cheaper on 171 routes. Below 2 kg, CTM gives no price.
Does Amana deliver to the door?
Yes: the parcel is delivered to the recipient's address, with two attempts, after you drop it at an Amana or Al Barid Bank agency. On 21 October 2026, the simulator showed the same price at the agency or at home on the Casablanca → Marrakech route.
